Privacy Policy for LevelFish’s Chatbot Paraphraser for Google Sheets

This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by the LevelFish Chatbot Paraphraser for Google Sheets (‘Add-on’) and how we use it. This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for users of our Add-on. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this Add-on.

By using our Add-on, you hereby consent to our Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.

Information we collect

The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.

Using a Google Sheet ‘Add-on’ downloaded from either the Chrome Web Store (CWS,  Google Workplace Marketplace (GWM) or LevelFish.com.

LevelFish’s Google App uses uses your data in the following way:

  • Any sentences you wish to paraphrase, will be sent to the LevelFish APU and stored for processing. Once processed we will return a list of paraphrase sentences and write these to your Google Sheet as returned results.

  • The sentences passed to LevelFish and the paraphrased sentences relating to any sentence are both stored by LevelFish in order to improve the service. As no emails and username and passwords are required to use the app, we do not store any personal data whatsoever.

Add-on Permissions

The add-on will ask a user to grant the permissions needed to run the service. The LevelFish chatbot paraphraser currently only requires two permissions:

 

i) See, edit, create and delete on your spreadsheets - this is required to read the phrases you have entered into the sheet, write the new paraphrases generated for the user using our API service, and clear the sheet when required using a macro for your convenience. 

 

And

ii) To Connect to an external service - this is a call to the LevelFish Paraphrase API that calls the Natural Language Generation engines to create paraphrases for the user's benefit. Each phrase the user runs against our external service is multiplied up to twenty fold with new and varied training data for chatbots. Users should be aware that a seed utterance which belongs to you or is generated by you is stored for support purposes for 28 days after each request solely for support purposes. 

The Phrases generated by LevelFish may be used by you without limitation.


 

Managing your Google Data
